Order & Shipping FAQ

How soon will my item(s) ship? All in-stock items ship within 1-5 days, but almost always ship on the very next business day. Packages are shipped via USPS Priority with insurance and tracking. Preorders ship as they are completed. I will notify you by email that your order has shipped. Please remember that once the package is out of my hands, I have no control over how quickly it gets to you and am not responsible for shipping delays.

Do you ship internationally? Yes! I’m based in the US and ship to Canada and Europe. Please be aware that international shipping takes longer, and I am not responsible for any shipping delays. Any and all customs/import duties or taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

What if my order arrives damaged? I package every box with extra care to ensure that your item arrives safely into your hands in one piece. However, accidents happen. If your package arrives and the box appears damaged, please take pictures of it before you open it. Contact me within 72 hours of receiving your damaged order to receive a refund or replacement.

Understanding pottery pricing

Every piece is 100% handmade from start to finish in this one-woman pottery business. Depending on the pot design, it can take over two hours of hands-on time to create one single mug (throwing, trimming, creating a lid for a travel mug and fitting it, attaching the handle, underglazing, carving or painting a design, sanding the surfaces smooth, glazing, plus all the little extra finishing touches at every stage). When you add in the cost of the materials (clay and glazes), and electricity to run each pot through the kiln twice (over 22 hours in total), you can understand why handmade mugs cost more than the mass-produced ones you see on shelves at local stores or online.

Honestly, I used to think handmade pottery was a little pricey before I started making my own and realized the immense time, care, and attention to detail that goes into each and every piece. I do my best to keep my prices as low as possible while still being able to make a modest living. Pieces that take more time/materials have a higher price.

Caring for your pottery

Stoneware is rock hard but also fragile, so please handle with care. All pots are dishwasher and microwave safe. Be aware that, depending on the microwave, your pot can get hot, so please use caution.
